So… Long time no blog! I am obviously terrible about keeping this up as of late. I’ve had a lot of things on my mind IRL, and as such, haven’t really even been THINKING about this thing. Financial woes for the lose. That said, when I haven’t been raiding (6/8 Heroic on my hunter, by the way! Spine should die soon, I hope), I’ve been playing a lot of League of Legends. While this isn’t really an introductory post to League (I think I’ll actually do that in the coming days, however!), I do want to make a quick opinion post on the game.
To be honest, I actually never thought I would have so much fun with a game like this. I’m traditionally horrible at RTS-type games, because I’m actually generally pretty bad at micromanagement to the degree that some of these games require (such as Starcraft). However, LoL isn’t full-on RTS, so it was much easier for me to pick up, since I don’t have to worry about more than two units of my own at a time (at least, controlling them). This is one of the things that has helped me with being able to manage the game, so I’m happy about it.
All in all, though, I’ve been steadily progressing in the game, getting more champions, learning them, getting better at the game in general. I want to do really well at it, and I think that I’m doing well with it. I know I’m not great at it, but thanks to sites like Reign of Gaming, SoloMid and others, I try to absorb a lot of information to get as good with it as I can. I honestly can say that there is a lot of information out there for people that have been with the game for a while, and this is definitely a good thing. However, getting into a new game, especially one such as this, can be extremely overwhelming for someone who doesn’t even know what it’s all about! As such, I want to try to remedy this. Hopefully, I’ll be able to continue with it, too, because it’s free to play (unlike Rift, unfortunately, which I would love to be able to keep up with – but without a subscription, it’s nigh impossible).
So, more to come soon on the topic of League of Legends. I think I’ll even do a video to accompany the next post as an introduction to the game!

Your absence is regularly noticed. A lot of the original goup has splintered off, but a few of us hard core people are still at it trying to clear Infernal Dawn and the new 10 man Primal Feast. You’d be mightily impressed with all the changes and how much stuff there is to do in game. Also, I’ve been having a blast tanking on my cleric and with the changes they made to those souls it surpasses rogue/warrior tanks by leaps and bounds in certain areas.
Yeah, I’d love to get back into Rift, unfortunately, financial issues are causing all sorts of problems, and as such I can’t pay for it.
But, clerics better than warriors? That’s been the case for a few encounters in the past, anyway (IIRC, clerics were originally better for Akylios), but if clerics are doing that well, I’m glad to hear!
